Bent but not broken. Still rooted. Sounds like the title of a sermon right?
But it’s really the state of this tree in my backyard.
It was pushed down by a storm a few months ago. It’s leaning pretty hard but amazingly it was spry enough not to break. There is a lesson in there.
I wonder if it is stressing the tree to be bending so far over though? Should I get a rope and hoist it back up?
I looked up what kind of tree this is. It’s either a white birch or an aspen. I am leaning towards it being a birch though.
Isn’t it something how we can grow up with plants and trees right in our backyards and not know their names?
